Consultation on the next Bishop of Southwark
Your views matter!

Further to the announcement that our diocesan bishop, The Rt Revd Bishop Christopher Chessun, will be retiring later this year, there is a consultation, via an online survey, about the next bishop. CLICK HERE to find out more and to give your views on the next appointment. It takes 5-7 minutes to complete.

The survey will close at noon on 1 April 2026.

It’s easy to think that consultations like this are a waste of time – but if enough people respond with the same words and views, it makes its way into the data and that cannot be ignored when it comes to drawing up the person specification. It is important that inclusive anglo-catholic parishes like ours make their voice heard strongly, because we reflect the majority of people/churches in the diocese but are often under-represented.
